Weber’s school day is from 8:00 AM through 3:10 PM. No student is permitted to enter the building before 7:55 AM unless dropped off by a bus, specifically attending a club, or a supervised activity. Homebase is between 8:07am - 8:14am.  There is a warning bell prior to the start of homebase.  Students arriving after the start of homebase should report to their homebase and will be marked late.  Any students arriving after 8:14am should report to their House Office with their late note to sign in.

AFTER BEING DROPPED OFF TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING, REGARDLESS OF BY BUS OR PARENT, NO STUDENT IS TO LEAVE SCHOOL PROPERTY FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION OF A PARENT/GUARDIAN.

Students who are late three (3) times will be called to their Assistant Principal’s Office and issued a warning notice to be signed by their parent. The fourth (4) lateness and each subsequent lateness will result in a phone call to parents and an after-school detention.  After ten (10) latenesses, a letter is sent home and an in-school suspension will be assigned.  Latenesses are accumulated by semester.

A student must report to school by ll:30 a.m. to be permitted to participate in any extra-curricular activity, including interscholastic sports on that day.

Students are dismissed from school at 3:10 p.m.

Every early dismissal requires a written request from the parent or legal guardian, and it must be delivered to the homebase teacher in the morningWithout a note, students cannot be dismissed unless a parent or guardian has signed them out at our security vestibule.  All parents or legal guardians entering the building are required to show and leave identification at the front desk. Students will sign out in their House Office before leaving the building.  They will leave the building through the main entrance and then will be able to meet you at your pre-determined location.

If your child is absent for multiple days, try to reach out to a friend in the class for missed work.  Your child can also check their teachers' Google Classroom for missing assignments.  Finally, you may request assignments through the House Office. Absences of one or two days are best handled by calling a classmate or friend for homework assignments. If a student knows in advance that he/she will be absent for an extended period of time, special arrangements can be made through the assistant principal. When a student’s attendance record reflects frequent absences, (generally 10 or more), we will inform parents by mail and/or a phone call.

Absences from school for vacations (when school is in session) are illegal as determined by the New York State Education Department.  It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements with teachers if there will be a planned absence from school due to a vacation.
