About Me

Janna Amigon has been the school psychologist for the Red and Yellow Houses for the past twelve years. Her interest in psychology began at the age of 15 when she volunteered to help kindergarteners in a special education school. She realized the importance of positive attention and how that could help change behavior and brighten a student’s day. Dr. Amigon attended Binghamton University and was part of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority. She earned her Masters’ and Doctoral Degrees in School-Child Clinical Psychology at Pace University. Dr. Amigon is married with two young boys, ages 4 and 2. She loves Broadway and sports and is a diehard NY Rangers and NY Jets fan. On the weekends, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. You can catch her swimming with her sons, watching her son play soccer or baseball or going to a local fall festival with her family. Dr. Amigon loves to travel and learn about other cultures. She has visited many different countries, including Honduras, Mexico, Japan, England and Greece. Her passion for school psychology revolves around her desire to make sure that every student grows to feel supported, important and develops a positive sense of self based on their own unique strengths and interests.
