School closings and delayed starting times will be announced on the school website and through our phone messaging service.
When there are no media announcements relative to emergency closings, staff and students can assume that the district schools are in session.
In the event it becomes necessary to dismiss school early due to an emergency, the following procedure will be implemented:
The high school will be dismissed first
The middle school will be dismissed next
The elementary schools will be dismissed last
A message will be sent to parents at home, work and/or cellular phones within a few minutes. To ensure accurate delivery of messages, please inform your child’s House Office of any changes in emergency or contact information. It is necessary for all parents to have an emergency plan in place with their child and home in case of an early dismissal.
