“Everything but the Turkey” Thanksgiving Food Drive

Dear Weber Families, 

We are proud to announce that Weber Middle School will host our first annual “Everything but the Turkey” Thanksgiving Food Drive. Our goal is for our students to take an active role in supporting members of our community and local families that are in need.  This project aligns with our district vision of the Portrait of a Graduate as this expands our students global citizenship. Each homebase will create as many Thanksgiving bags as possible.

The food drive will run from November 1, 2022, to November 15, 2022. All food donations will be collected and organized in Homebase. Homebase teachers will provide more in-depth information regarding specific items for students and families to donate. 

Each bag will contain the following items:

• 2 cans of corn
• 2 cans of green beans
• 1 box of instant mashed potatoes
• 1 can of cranberry sauce
• 1 can of Turkey Gravy or dry turkey gravy mix
• 1 can of yams or sweet potatoes
• 1 box of rice
• 1 box of stuffing
• 1 box of mini marshmallows
• 1 box of macaroni and cheese
• 1 box of cornbread mix
