Weber Middle School’s Science Olympiad teams had a strong showing this weekend at the Western Long Island Regional competition, bringing home the 4th place trophy and earning a spot at the New York State tournament.
Two Weber teams made up of students in grades 6, 7, and 8 competed, earning a total of 16 medals across multiple events. Students medaled in Write It Do It, Water Quality, Solar System, Remote Sensing, Potions and Poisons, Machines, Meteorology, Helicopter, Experimental Design, Dynamic Planet, Disease Detectives, Code Busters, Boomilever, and Anatomy and Physiology.
Congratulations to all the students who competed and to coaches Ms. Lindstadt-Iurka, Mr. Buchman, Mr. Tom, and Ms. Heyne for their continued leadership and support!
