Dina VonSalzen is the Yellow House counselor and enjoys how every day is a new adventure at Weber! She studied Psychology at SUNY Cortland, and she received her school counseling degree from LIU Post. She was born and raised on Long Island, and looks forward to continuing to be part of the Port Washington educational community for many years to come. Prior to coming to Weber, she spent time working with young adults with special needs in a private supported living program, as well as working as a teaching assistant at Developmental Disabilities Institute. When she’s not at Weber, she enjoys traveling with her pilot husband, spending time with her tortoise son, singing karaoke, and dressing up for Halloween (or really any theme/holiday, for that matter!). She also loves using movement as a coping strategy - whether it be dancing, going for walks, playing tennis or going to the gym. Please feel free to swing by her office which has a relaxing “zen corner.” It includes Kinetic Sand, Play-Doh, coloring books and stress balls for those times you may just need a break.

Fun Fact: Mrs. VonSalzen was a contestant on Wheel of Fortune, so if you stop by to see her, she may even just tell you what she won!
